Hello residents of Mile End,
A lot of work was done to tackle issues that matter the most to our residents and local businesses. Below are some of the highlights from this week:
Speeding
Local officers have conducted traffic operations around Parnell & Bow Common Lane. This is to tackle the issue of cars driving recklessly around the area.
Shoplifting and Theft Uniformed & plain clothes officers were patrolling outside Burdett Road to deter and tackle shoplifting. Prolific shoplifter was arrested for theft from Lidl.
School Patrols School patrols were conducted around St Paul's school to show presence and reassure community members. Officers were able to issue an ASB warning for drug paraphernalia and use of drugs.
TFL Operations
Officers patrolled around multiple bus stops with the goal to deter any phone snatches. Crime prevention advice was given to members of the public and oversee the flow of heavy foot traffic due to tube strikes.
Mile End Safer Neighbourhood wishes our residents a good weekend and further work will continue to address our ward issues.
